Media Meet Up (28 Jun)
Networking for creative, media and tech professionals
The University of Salford would like to invite you to ‘Media Meetup’ an informal networking evening of drinks, and canapes for creative professionals from all areas of the arts, media, tech and creative sectors looking to expand their network and create new connections.
Invite along your colleagues and connect with other ‘creatives’ ‘techies’, ‘marketeers’ and ‘artists’ from across Greater Manchester, right at the heart of Media City. The event is also a great opportunity to take a nosey at the industry facilities on our MediaCityUK campus.
The event this time will coincide with Pavel Prokopic’s nested cinematic experience and installation, Vera’s not Alone. Attendees will be able to try out this immersive experience during the networking.

In case you were curious, here is a little about Pavel’s nested cinematic experience…
Nested Cinema is a new immersive experience that complicates the boundaries between the physical and the virtual, between the real and the imaginary.
Nested Cinema reimagines film through orchestrating smart technology and devices across three distinct layers of experience – traditional screens, the installation space, and virtual reality – extending cinematic atmospheres across the three nested layers, giving rise to a new immersive mode of dramatic fiction.
